Using a Stick allows the Oracle to get closer to the front line without incurring much damage. Of them all, the best weapon is definitely the Stick variety, as it is one of two weapon types (with the exception of the Spear) that has a two-panel attack radius. From the magicians available in the game, the Oracle Job Class has the most choice when it comes to weapons.
